Wavy Abstract Background

Enterprise Data Management

Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is the framework, policies, and processes that organizations use to govern, integrate, secure, and optimize their data across the enterprise. At its core, EDM is reliable, compliant, and analytics-ready, empowering faster decisions, reducing risk, and unlocking new value across your organization.

By aligning people, processes, and technology, EDM turns fragmented data into a strategic asset, enabling enterprises to break down silos and achieve full visibility across their operations.

Trusted Data, Better Decisions

Establishes governance and quality controls so every report, dashboard, and analytic is powered by reliable data you can act on with confidence.

Stronger Compliance & Security

Ensures sensitive information is protected and regulatory standards (FISMA, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA) are met through structured controls and oversight.

Faster, Smarter Decision-Making

Delivers integrated, analytics-ready data that reduces manual effort and accelerates decision-making at every level of the enterprise.

Connecting Dots

Our Approach

Assess & Align - Evaluate your data environment, governance maturity, and stakeholder needs to create a mission-aligned strategy.

Design & Govern - Define data standards, policies, and integration frameworks that ensure security, interoperability, and compliance.

Implement & Automate - Deploy modern platforms and automation to integrate data sources, eliminate silos, and streamline workflows.

Optimize & Evolve - Continuously monitor, refine, and scale EDM practices, ensuring your data foundation adapts to new risks, technologies, and opportunities.

What Sets Us Apart

Successful enterprise data management requires more than tools. It requires a disciplined approach that balances governance, strategy, quality, and accessibility.

At SGA, we focus on building data environments that are not only secure and compliant but also positioned to deliver measurable business and mission impact.

Our core capabilities are designed to address the full data lifecycle: from establishing governance frameworks and policies, to creating strategies that align with organizational goals, to ensuring the accuracy and trustworthiness of data, and finally, to making data discoverable and usable through cataloging and metadata management.

By combining these capabilities, we transform fragmented, siloed data into a unified, reliable, and analytics-ready foundation that supports smarter decision-making, stronger compliance, and greater agility across the enterprise.

Data Governance

We establish governance frameworks that clearly define roles, responsibilities, and data ownership across the enterprise. By embedding accountability and stewardship practices, organizations can enforce consistent data policies, strengthen compliance, and build trust in the information that drives decision-making.

Data Quality

Data is only as valuable as it is trustworthy. Through proactive monitoring, validation, and automation, we improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information across systems. The result: decisions are based on reliable insights, not guesswork, and operations run with greater confidence.

Data Strategy

A well-crafted strategy ensures that every data initiative is aligned with organizational priorities. We help agencies and enterprises design roadmaps that tie technology investments, processes, and people directly to mission goals, reducing inefficiencies, optimizing resources, and unlocking long-term value from data.

Data Cataloging & Metadata

We build cataloging and metadata management frameworks that make data easy to find, understand, and use. By organizing and tagging data assets, we provide a single source of truth where analysts, leaders, and stakeholders can quickly discover the information they need, accelerating analytics, collaboration, and innovation.

Case Studies

Abstract Lines

1

Data Governance in Action

At BEP’s Cybersecurity Data Analytics Program (CDAP), we established governance frameworks that ensured sensitive cybersecurity and IT asset data was tagged, protected, and accessible only to the right stakeholders. By enforcing accountability and stewardship, BEP gained clearer oversight of data usage and compliance with federal security requirements.

2

Data Strategy Driving Mission Outcomes

We supported BEP leadership in developing a data strategy that aligned cyber operations with mission objectives. This included migrating fragmented legacy dashboards into a unified Power BI environment—turning siloed datasets into a coherent analytics roadmap that improved visibility for executives and program managers.

3

Data Cataloging, Metadata & Documentation

We built cataloging and metadata practices that made BEP data assets easier to discover and understand, reducing time spent searching for information and increasing analytic productivity. In addition, we created data dictionaries that standardized definitions and improved cross-team understanding of key metrics. Our team also manages all program documentation for CDAP, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and compliance with audit requirements.
